Secret Bay, Dominica’s award-winning, all-villa rainforest resort renowned for its six-star experience, announced today that it’s now accepting reservations for its newest Ti-Fèy Villas for stays beginning November 2020. Each of the four two-story, residential-style hillside villas features a private pool, an outdoor rain shower cantilevered off the second floor, floor-to-ceiling glass walls and an abundance of space for guests to enjoy an intimate tropical island experience. The addition of these architecturally stunning villas increases the resort’s inventory to 10.

The new Ti-Fèy Villas, entirely immersed in the sights, sounds, and aromas of nature, are perched on a hillside overlooking sweeping sea, mountain and rainforest views. The architectural masterpieces, designed by resident architect Claude Lauture and inspired by the original drawings for the resort by award-winning Latin American architect, Fruto Vivas, are sustainably built with Guyanese Greenheart hardwood and feature indoor furniture hand-crafted from Dominican Red Cedar by local artisans. Offering spectacular jungle-to-ocean views that extend to the tallest mountain on Dominica, Morne Diablotin, and these villas are situated in Secret Bay’s densest area of the Dominica rainforest, creating an authentically natural experience complemented by the utmost luxury.

Comprising nearly 1,400 square feet of indoor-outdoor space and a 225-square-foot pool deck, each villa is outfitted with a gourmet kitchen, private plunge pool and every modern amenity imaginable to complete an idyllic, under-the-radar romantic haven or family getaway.

Gregor Nassief, Proprietor of Secret Bay

“Sandra and I are looking forward to welcoming guests to our new Ti-Fèy Villas,” said Gregor Nassief, proprietor of Secret Bay. “We often book up far in advance and it’s exciting to now have more capacity to accommodate more travelers who desire a peerlessly-personalized, six-star luxury experience, while at the same time lowering our overall density.”

The four new Hillside Ti-Fèy Villas, designed to complement, not compromise, the land, are the newest phase of owner Nassief’s vision to expand across the 33 newly-assembled acres at Secret Bay to create The Residences at Secret Bay, a first-of-its-kind Caribbean real estate opportunity within the award-winning resort. In accordance with a conscientiously phased master plan, Secret Bay will become an even lower density product than what it is today — decreasing from nine percent to less than seven percent of the property allocated for development. As such, the tangible sense of intimacy and seclusion for which Secret Bay has become renowned will forever stay intact.

Nightly rates at Secret Bay start at $822 USD. The resort is offering five-, 10- or 14-day escapes inclusive of complimentary night(s), meals and experiences. The packages are bookable now for stays between August 1, 2020 and April 30, 2021. The hotel’s “Book with Confidence” policy allows for penalty-free changes up to seven days prior to arrival through April 9, 2021 and the option to re-book within 12 months with the full reservation deposit applied to a new reservation. Exclusions apply. For reservations and additional information, please email info@secretbay.dm.

Tucked away on the unspoilt “Nature Island” — one of the Caribbean’s most sparsely populated, environmentally conscious and culturally rich countries — Secret Bay has been praised for its ability to effortlessly capture the luxury of time and space along with its artful fusion of high design, local craftsmanship, commitment to sustainable development through numerous green and eco-friendly initiatives and a reputation for authentic guest experiences custom-curated to personal preference. Part of Secret Bay’s elevated experience is delivered in the form of its culinary offerings: at the innovative Zing Zing restaurant, Executive Chef Grant Lynott operates a “no-menu” concept that’s part food-lab and part restaurant, challenging the traditional fine dining restaurant rules, and focuses on a hyper-local and intimate experience that simply can’t be replicated. Similarly, the Gommier Spa, a three-walled, open-air retreat designed especially for couples, focuses on local and sustainably sourced products for treatments. Other amenities include dedicated villa hosts, on-call concierge, chefs and guides, and two secluded and swimmable beaches.

In late 2019, Secret Bay joined Relais & Châteaux, the most prestigious association of luxury hotels and restaurants in the world, becoming the first and only property in Dominica and just one of seven properties in the Caribbean to be affiliated with the elite brand.

Dominica has several new air route services through major carriers. Secret Bay’s travel concierge can assist visitors with finding the most expeditious routes.
