Haryana Tourism has been very proactive in projecting the state as a pertinent centre for trade and commerce. An attempt in this direction includes a host of reputed Convention Centers that cater to the niche Meetings, Incentives, conference and exhibition (MICE) segment. These Convention Centers have come up at Hotel Rajhans in Surajkund; Tiylar Lake, Rohtak and Red Bishop, Panchkula. Surajkund International Creafts Mela held at Faridabad from 1st to 15th February, 2014, is an annual fair set in a rural backdrop that everyone looks forward to. Sites of historical significance have been painstakingly restored and turned into tourist attraction. Like the Pinjore Gardens, built in the 17th century and the only Mughal Gardens outside Kashmir, located on the Chandigarh-Shimla National Highway is a heritage resort that offers best of facilities for tourists. The sprawling gardens at the foothills of the Shivaliks remain an all time tourist favorite it especially comes to life during the Pinjore Heritage Festival that brings together competitions, recitals, traditional crafts and food.
