Seasonal Splendour, a solo show by artist Kishore Sahu
Seasonal Splendour which depicts a world away from the blanket of cold the country is wrapped in. Trees, nature are his muse. Even though we don’t get to see lush greenery a lot, a simple white flower blooming on a field’s periphery or big trees that he can see from windows are enough for him to paint Sahu’s works, almost mystically showing tree-lined landscapes are a mélange of colours. He started exhibiting in 2009 and has participated in number of group shows in Bhopal’s Bharat Bhavan, Delhi’s India Habitat Centre, Lalit Kala Akademi and Beijing’s International Art Biennale. Painting about nature and its companions gives him utmost joy.
In his artwork you will find creepers, branches, flowers, falling leaves and various other elements. All these elements can be seen in his painting in an intense assortment, within it one can see the varieties of leaves and its colours. Flower, buds fruit and the nature companions such as spiders, bees, butterflies, etc. within his paintings. The colour, forms lines, texture, composition and the force can be seen which is entirely inspired by nature and its beauty. The feeling and emotions he get from nature is in full peak when he is in the process of painting. Due to this one can see the creativity in full scale along with the expression of emotions and thoughts.
He likes to work with various mediums such as water colour, oil, acrylic colour and drawings. Sahu’s works are pleasant to the eye with refreshing nature. The artist exhibited seasonal splendour, a solo exhibition at Triveni Kala Sangam.
