Dublin is counting down to the biggest party of the year, a two-day extravaganza that will see out the old year and ring in the new. Dublin’s New Year Festival is a mind-blowing mix of live entertainment, arts, culture and craic which makes the city a top destination for New Year revellers.
Now in its fourth year, New Year’s Festival Dublin has announced a new and exciting programme of events to ring in 2018. Dublin city will light up with imagination and wonder over 2 days with 5 spectacular events from 31 December 2017 until 1 January 2018.

The centrepiece will be the Liffey Lights Midnight Moment, a high-flying spectacle of lights and acrobatics that will lead up to the midnight chimes. The event will present a spectacular symphony of aquabeams and search lights dancing across the night sky in time to original music, while acrobats spin and spiral through the sky attached to giant helium balloons as flyboarders perform incredible aquatic and aerial stunts.

New Year’s Festival Dublin revellers can celebrate the New Year at the 3Countdown Concert with Kodaline and special guests Hudson Taylor and Keywest. Get fired up for 2018 as Dublin’s national landmark the Spire beams light into space as the clock strikes midnight.

Kick-start the New Year at the free, family friendly New Year’s Day Celebrations with award-winning international and national street and acrobatic performers, and the hugely popular New Year’s Day concert.
Dublin is one of the best cities in the world for celebrating the New Year. The welcome is second to none, and across the two days of the festival the city also presents a host of activities, from fun runs to walking and cycling tours, music trails, food and fashion events and amazing cultural happenings in galleries and other venues.
